Raito listened to Kazuya intently. I wonder who his sensei was... His story on the whole was very intriguing. Why would he run away? Who is the other apprentice? However, he didn't get a chance to ask, for Kazuya had decided that they would cross the Molten Passage that night. Raito sighed. This can't end well... With these hallucinations I've been having... Calm down Raito. Raito breathed out, forcing his apprehension away. It was dark, and the red orange magma glowed with a floresent wonder. The bridge was made of wood, which wasn't too inviting.
Raito tentitively put one foot in front of the other, holding on for dear life. He concentrated on Kazuya's back, so nothing would make him jump. However, a bshu! made him look down. An air pocket had broken through the magma and made it pop. But, that wasn't the worst of Raito's worries. From the bubble popping, to Raito it appeared as if a dragon made of magma was coming up from the pool. He could feel the power radiating from it. The dragon had the glowing appearence of the magma, and was in the form of an elongated traditional chinese dragon. Its eyes were a piercing red, which held not anger but understanding. Its beard, and orangey red held not wisdom, but power. It spoke, Do not be afraid, young one.
However, Raito was nothing but afraid. His eyes were widened with fear and he felt as if his whole body would be incinerated. He kept on moving, trying his best to keep his fear in check. The bridge rocked back and forth, an eerie wind eminating from their right. The dragon followed Raito, parallel to the bridge. There is a choice that you must make. You are the one your grandfather spoke of. You are the one who will do what your grandfather couldn't. He had once said, "In times of darkness, one must simply stop searching for the light, and become the glow for others to follow." Your mind is deteriorating, due to your chakra becoming rampant. Follow your mind, and you will develop a Jutsu far beyond anyone can imagine.
It was then that the dragon dematerialized, the magma falling from the air. Raito then realized that it wasn't the wind that was making the bridge shake, it was the excess chakra he was expelling. He stopped for a moment and controlled himself. Finally, they finished their trek across the bridge. Raito listened to the rest of Kazuya's story and then joined Kazuya in leaping across the mountain peaks. I have to find a way to control myself! I... I have to talk to Kazuya. As they lept from the peaks, he decided to say, "Hey... Kazuya-sensei, can I... uh... talk to you?"
